All events entered must correspond to the age group that the athlete is eligible at the time of the World Rowing Indoor Championship (WRICH) finals in March 2021.

  • Top 2 places from categories marked with * will automatically qualify for the World Rowing Indoor Championships (WRICH).
  • Top 1 place from categories marked with # will automatically qualify for the World Rowing Indoor Championships (WRICH).
  • Events marked with ^ will compete for the 2020 African Indoor Rowing Championship.

 Age categories

The following age categories for indoor rowing are recognised by FISA:

  • Juniors
  • Under 23
  • Seniors
  • Masters

The age of an athlete for indoor rowing events shall be the age at the date of the competition. Where the competition includes several days the age shall be as at the scheduled date of the final for the event concerned. A Junior rower shall not have attained the age of 19 and an Under 23 rower shall not have attained the age of 23 by the relevant date.
