Requirements for Qualification through African Qualification Pathway
Only competitors that hold valid citizenship of an African country will be eligible to qualify for the WRICH via the African Qualification Pathway. Competitors that do not hold citizenship of an African country will be eligible to qualify through the Open qualification pathway.
In order to verify qualification for the WRICH competitors that finish in qualifying positions will be required to submit the following to FISA:
- Proof of citizenship of an African country
- Verify time data from the PM3, PM4 or PM5 to FISA
- Lightweight competitors will be required to provide proof of weigh-in
FISA Rulebook: APPENDIX 24 – Indoor Rowing Competition Regulations
For an international indoor rowing event, no individual lightweight male rower may weigh more than 75 kgs and no individual female rower may weigh more than 61.5 kgs. Lightweight rowers shall be weighed wearing only their racing uniform on tested scales not less than one hour and not more than two hours before their first race of each lightweight event in which they are competing, each day of the competition. For the avoidance of doubt there shall be no lightweight categories for juniors.
